I think you are way off base here. EVERYONE is commanded to fight evil. That does include prayer, but it also includes action. The type of evil we are facing now reuires the sword unless you are into commiting suicde.
If you were walking by a child being raped would you say that you are not called to bear the sword? Would you walk away saying “we win in the end”?
