The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has officially gained agency-wide access to a nationwide license plate recognition database, according to a contract finalized earlier this month. The system gives the agency access to billions of license plate records and new powers of real-time location tracking, raising significant concerns from civil libertarians.
The source of the data is not named in the contract, but an ICE representative said the data came from Vigilant Solutions, the leading network for license plate recognition data. “Like most other law enforcement agencies, ICE uses information obtained from license plate readers as one tool in support of its investigations,” spokesperson Dani Bennett said in a statement. “ICE is not seeking to build a license plate reader database, and will not collect nor contribute any data to a national public or private database through this contract.”…… Read More

In this Fox article, Edward K. Glassman, my long ago Harvard classmate, author of Dow 36,000 (predicting Dow at that level by 2005), and current director of the George W. Bush Institute, extolls our free market medical system. The first reader to comment agrees that we have a “ free market” system, but thinks that “ profit based healthcare” should be “outlawed.” Another reader thinks that we actually have “socialized medicine.”
So what do we have? I think the most apt description would be crony capitalist medicine, one in which powerful special interests conspire with government officials to create legally mandated monopolies, with the specific goal of thwarting free market competition.
Today, more than at any time previously, Westerners are justifying a move toward collectivist thinking with the phrase, “Capitalism has failed.”
In response to this, conservative thinkers offer a knee-jerk reaction that collectivism has also had a dismal record of performance. Neither group tends to gain any ground with the other group, but over time, the West is moving inexorably in the collectivist direction.
As I see it, liberals are putting forward what appears on the surface to be a legitimate criticism, and conservatives are countering it with the apology that, yes, capitalism is failing, but collectivism is worse.
Unfortunately, what we’re seeing here is not classical logic, as Aristotle would have endorsed, but emotionalism that ignores the principles of logic.
If we’re to follow the rules of logical discussion, we begin with the statement that capitalism has failed and, instead of treating it as a given, we examine whether the statement is correct. Only if it proves correct can we build further suppositions upon it.
Whenever I’m confronted with this now oft-stated comment, my first question to the person offering it is, “Have you ever lived in a capitalist country?” That is, “Have you ever lived in a country in which, during your lifetime, a free-market system dominated?”
Most people seem initially confused by this question, as they’re residents of either a European country or a North American country and operate under the assumption that the system in which they live is a capitalist one.
So, let’s examine that assumption.
A capitalist, or “free market,” system is one in which the prices of goods and services are determined by consumers and the open market, in which the laws and forces of supply and demand are free from any intervention by a government, price-setting monopoly, or other authority.
Today, none of the major (larger) countries in what was once referred to as the “free world” bear any resemblance to this definition. Each of these countries is rife with laws, regulations, and a plethora of regulatory bodies whose very purpose is to restrict the freedom of voluntary commerce. No one gets spared the anguish, fear and heartache of living under the shadow of an authoritarian police state.
That’s the message being broadcast 24/7 to the citizens and residents of the American police state with every new piece of government propaganda, every new law that criminalizes otherwise lawful activity, every new policeman on the beat, every new surveillance camera casting a watchful eye, every sensationalist news story that titillates and distracts, every new prison or detention center built to house troublemakers and other undesirables, every new court ruling that gives government agents a green light to strip and steal and rape and ravage the citizenry, every school that opts to indoctrinate rather than educate, and every new justification for why Americans should comply with the government’s attempts to trample the Constitution underfoot.
Here in Amerika, things are getting worse—not better—as the nation inches ever closer towards totalitarianism, that goose-stepping form of tyranny in which the government has all of the power and “we the people” have none.
On Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, immigration agents boarded a Greyhound bus heading to downtown Miami from Orlando and demanded that all passengers provide proof of residence or citizenship. One grandmother, traveling by bus to meet her granddaughter for the first time, was arrested and taken off the bus when she couldn’t provide proof of residency.
No word on whether that grandmother was actually in the country illegally.
With the government empowered to carry out transportation checks to question people about their immigration status within a 100-mile border zone that wraps around the country, you’re going to see a rise in these “show your papers” incidents.
That’s a problem, and I’ll tell you why.
We are not supposed to be living in a “show me your papers” society.
Despite this, the U.S. government has recently introduced measures allowing police and other law enforcement officials to stop individuals (citizens and noncitizens alike), demand they identify themselves, and subject them to patdowns, warrantless searches, and interrogations.
These actions fly in the face of longstanding constitutional safeguards forbidding such police state tactics.
Set aside the debate over illegal immigration for a moment and think long and hard about what it means when government agents start demanding that people show their papers on penalty of arrest. He finds this discourse to be vile and disgusting and will not stand for it. This person is part Black, Puerto Rican and Native American. He is angry about this movement because it is resurrecting feelings of racial hatred that had been minimized until people like Soros have come along and attempted to exploit any differences in order to bring the country down. However, this agitator, or a former Nazi collaborator, named George Soros who specializes in regime change on a national level, has white people in his crosshairs. I think it is reasonable to assume that before Soros is done, Christian persecution will be the main focus of Soros and his globalist allies.
One of Soros tactics is to pit one group against the other in a classic divide and conquer scenario. In this sense, George Soros is the new Charles Manson and he has resurrected “Helter Skelter” and is trying to unhinge the country along racial lines. When I read that Will Smith says that Trump supporters need to be cleansed or any number of professors say that white genocide would be a good thing, I wonder how much money was thrown at these people, by Soros, to get them to promote such insanity. Saying the results of their study are “implausible” and should be “viewed with appropriate skepticism,” researchers are in frank denial over a study which shows a so-called “high-dose” multivitamin formula drastically reduces mortality rates among post-heart attack patients, a beneficial effect that was completely negated by concomitant use of statin cholesterol-lowering drugs.
The study, published in the American Heart Journal, was conducted among adults who had experienced a prior heart attack and had undergone intravenous chelation therapy. Vitamin and mineral replacement is customarily prescribed after chelation therapy.
An even more demonstrable reduction in non-mortal cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) was tabulated (54% risk reduction) when the high-dose multivitamin was compared against inactive placebo use.
A prior study that employed so-called “high-dose” vitamins and minerals among post-heart attack patients only showed a modest “non-significant” reduction in the risk for death, recurrent heart attack, stroke or re-hospitalization of 3% (27% for multivitamin group, 30% for placebo group), 11% relative risk reduction).
The multivitamin was characterized as a “high-dose” dietary supplement because the provision of nutrients exceeded the Daily Value (DV). However, the Daily Value is intended for healthy individuals and amounts that exceed the Daily Value (DV) should be considered inadequate for individuals who face health challenges such as repair of scarred heart tissue.
Furthermore, post-heart attack patients are often placed on medications that deplete essential nutrients and require greater-than-dietary intake of selected nutrients such as zinc (depleted by blood pressure medicines), coenzyme Q10 (depleted by statin cholesterol-lowering and beta blocker drugs), and minerals such as magnesium (depleted by diuretics).
The mega-dose multivitamin regimen provided 1200 milligrams of vitamin C (2000% of the DV); 100 milligrams of vitamin B1 (6667% of DV); 200 mg niacin (1000% of DV); 100 micrograms of vitamin B12 (1667% of DV); 400 milligrams of vitamin B5 pantothenic acid (4000% of DV); 50 mg of vitamin B6 (2500% of DV) and 20 milligrams of zinc (133% of DV).
Cholesterol levels were obviously far lower among multivitamin users taking statin drugs, yet the mortality reduction was erased when both drug and dietary supplement were combined.
Researchers recommend that physicians and their heart attack patients wait until a more definitive study is completed in 2021 before altering drug and supplement regimens…. Read Original Story
